I guess I need to know what my rights are as an unleased tenant. I was given 30 days to move out of my apartment after being here for a month and I have been looking for a new apartment and I cant find one the landlord says that since they served me on November 29 my legal day to move is December 1 and if I cant find a place to live that they can have the locks changed and my things put out on the street. Do I have any rights and can they really remove my things and put them on the street?? And what about pets if there are pets in the house can they really change the locks and not allow us back in the house to take care of them?? Will they take them to a local shelter?
Please if you have any info for me I will be forever grateful!!! Thank You so much.
