if it was registered in 1984 as stabalized, then yes -- it should have continued being registered with DHCR every year, with the current rent, until deregulation. Sounds like time to file a rent overcharge complaint.

: Question: does every rent increase have to be registered with DHCR? The last time my apt. had the legal rent registered was 1984. Through 2000 there were no adjustments, then it got deregualted. What gives? NYC regulated building of 25 units.
