personal use when there are 2 vacancies in the building

My landlord is claiming that he plans to evict me when my lease is up because he wants his son to live in the apartment. There are currently two vacancies in the building, but I just signed a new lease so he can probably fill those before he starts to attempt to occupy my apartment. Is there any precedent for saying that there have been a number of vacancies in the building and he passed up the opportunity to use those, so he gave up the right to take my apartment?

What he really wants is for everyone to move out, and he has said as much. He is basically pretty honest about his intentions, he says that he wants me out no matter what it takes, even if he has to have his son live there.
