Hi! I lived in a rent stabilized building with the primary tenant for 11 months last year. The primary tenant charged me for more than half the rent and we had equal space in a one bedroom converted to 2, apt.! However, I did not have equal access to a mail key! I used my own furniture in my bedroom! Since I was not in a sublet situation and this building is rent stabilized, what are my rights toward getting my money back from being overcharged! Is this a situation that DHCR handles? Thanks for your time!
