No. But the reality is -- will they come after you? If you are
military personnel beinng transferred, I've heard that the Soldiers
and Sailors Act relieves you of this liability (does anyone know this
for certain?). Also, in many areas, before a landlord can come after
you, he would need to demonstrate he "tried to mitigate his damages"
by attemption to re-rent the unit and could not do so.
