I am a practicing law student in Oregon, preparing to transfer east to finish my JD after the summer CLEO program. I know that firsthand that Landlords make false libelous injurous statements all the time that end up costing a tenant the apartment or dwelling they want. The law is so thin on this (In Oregon the law is thin on everything except provisions that protect NIKE and other greed based corporations. If anyone can point me to case law or fed law on malice by a landlord towards a tenant...do it! I will use it to win a case and set a precedent that everybody can use to stop this crap!!!
