I used the Metropolitan Apartment Bank and they were awful. They promised listings before the brokers got them, and the numbers that they provided were very old - they were either management companies that only go through brokers OR apartments that haev been rented for months. I would not suggest using their services.

: I've scanned all the postings and archives looking for information concerning services such as Apartment Source, Homeline, etc. I'm hoping someone in this forum has had experience or at least knows someone who has used the service. Is it any advantage over the classifieds? Is using a broker inevitable? We got our first apartment through Columbia U. housing, so we didn't have the typical apartment quest. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And a nod of the hat to TenantNet!
