My grandparents have owned shares to an Upper West Side Coop apartment
for over twenty years. In 1994 my grandmother passed away, and my
grandfather became ill. When my grandfather moved to be closer to my
mother (and for better care), I moved into their apartment. I have been
paying maintenance for almost two years, and just got notice from the board
of directors that they do not consider me a legal resident under the terms
of the proprietary lease. Where can I go for information on what a Coop
Board can actaully do to family members?
