Go to DHCR (in Manhattan 156 Wiliam St 9th Floor). Bring your current lease to show
you're the tenant and ask for a rental history of the unit. Tell them
you want it all the way back to 1984 and do not let them give you
(as they will try) only the last four years. Pound on their desk if they give you
any trouble on that. They have the registrations on computer and
can easily print it out for you.
