I'm responding to Tenantnet's comments Re: Tenants Rock Pataki at the Seaport and starting a new discussion. Tenantnet comments that It's 2.5, but get it through your head, the real problem is from Silver.
He also knows the laws will be renewed, but at what price. Look at Silver's
history, look at the landlord candidates he puts up for office, look at
his buddies (Joe Strasburg of the RSA), look at the real estate money
the Dem. Assembly PAC gets, and look at which assemblypeople get the money.
Let's start to target Sheldon Silver. If indeed he's hatching a deal that will weaken the laws, let's write, phone and fax him that e.g.vacancy decontrol is not acceptable to tenants etc. Here's contact information for Silver:
