I live in semi-rural NE Michigan. I live in a single floor two unit
apartment. There is a single water meter for both places. There is also
a business and a rental house on another water meter. The landlord takes
both meter readings and charges each renter based on the amount of people
in each apartment. I have read else where on the net and here that a shared
meter is illegal. Buy the way I pay around $60.00 a month for water, each
other residence pays $25.00 and thats it.
