Need to Break Lease moving out of state

Posted by Steve Tomaszewski on May 04, 1997 at 19:02:36:

I live in Dallas and have to relocated to Chicago because of a job transfer
and my employer wont pick up the rest of my lease. I will have to pay a reletting charge plus the remander of the lease (5 months) even after giving the Management 30 days notice unless they can prelease it or a sublett it.Is there any thing I can do to Legally get out of thisbecause it would cost ove 2800 dollars and I dont have it.This management here does not seem to inclined to help out with getting someone into my apartment, I think the will milk it for as long as they can.If any one can give any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Thanks ,
