I am going to small claims court to recoup my security deposit. The property
management company says that I must sue the owner who lives in Hawaii. On top
of that they are telling me that I must do it in Hawaii? Is this true?
What other recourse do I have. The townhouse and property management are
located in Saratoga NY.

Also, is it legal for the property manager to have the same person inspect
who is the contractor for repairs. Isn't this some sort of conflict of
interest? Help!
