I have had a washing machine - which I purchased - in my rent controlled apt.
since 1992. Today (9/24/97) I received a notice from my landlord that
it "violates my rental agreement" and that it must be removed in the next a
three days.

My question is: Do I have any grounds based on precedence?
If not, isn't her time-frame for removal unreasonable?
If so, how do I file a complaint/appeal?
