: The New Digest section of the Rent Wars page was very useful. You gave
it up after the rent law renewal, but maybe its something that should be
kept going. I do realize there is probably alot of work involved.

I don't know how many people made use of it, but it took a lot of time
to put together. When you put (almost) all the stories together, you
get a sense of the media bias as well as the extreme efforts of
so-called friendly politicians to treat the issue on its surface. The
news reports from the papers went away after the "compromise" and very
few now appear; the few that do appear show that tenant advocates learned
nothing from this exercise. We actually have a backlog of about 50 articles
we hope to (eventually) get up, but it's a matter of time and resources.
The site has grown to over 150 megs of almost pure text data and it could
easily be tripled, so if some rich tenant wants to underwrite all this,
we could do a much better job.

We're also concentrating on our sister site, Hell's Kitchen Online and
gearing up for a zoning battle.
