: My hunch says that they are bluffing with all of their legal talk and are just buying time. However, I really cannot live with them. Legally, is there anything else I can do to get them out on 12/31/97? WHen and who can someone change the locks in regard to the 30 day notice? And also, I have two people who would like to move in- can I show them the apartment in these 30 days?

They are bluffing. As the prime tenant you are the "licensee" and you have
revoked their license. They have no right to the unit if you are the
prime tenant. However you can not change locks. You must commence a
proceeding in housing court as if you were their landlord. You can
also commence a separate action for damages if they damage your possessions,
and you might possibly be able to sue for damages if they prevent new
rommmates from coming in. (be prepared to show your damages).
