I pay an exorbitant rent to one of NYCs biggest and unconcerned rental
agents--Rockrose. One reason I took this place was for its fireplace which
I can't use. Unless you like smoke blowing everywhere into your apartment. They can fix this problem shared by many besides me in this
bldg. They have to install a fan to blow the smoke up. They don't do it be-
cause the tenants here move every year or two so by the time the new
tenant experiences the problem they move out...
After my place became as ash=strewn as a volcano site tonight (on a non
windy night) I've had it. My walls are grey and my computer and my living
room are again covered in soot.
Does anyone know what NY agency I can go to to force Rockrose to
fix this and if they don't could they be forced to reduce my rent?
