My landlord is threatening to keep my $1250 security deposit because there are a few tiny holes in the wall from hanging paintins, mirrors, etc. (some of which were there when I moved in) and he will need to repaint. I have lived there for almost three years and have always been a responsible tenant. The landlords on the otherhand have been very negligent in the desparately needed repairs (very leaky roof resulting in serious damage, electrical problems...). The holes and paint seem like normal wear and tear maintenance issues that he would have to take care of regardless. What can I do to ensure that I get my entire deposit back?
