Hello all -

My girlfriend currently rents an apartment in Orange County, NY. She is
considering accepting a job offer in NJ and will, therefore, need to terminate
her lease. However, it does not expire until November. What are the laws
about this in NY, and particularly in New Windsor? I have done some research
online and have come up basically empty handed. She has calls in to DHRC and
is awaiting callbacks. In NJ this law is a 60 day written notification,
without penalty. I assume there is something similar, and any help is greatly
appreciated.
