I live in a condo and my landlady is selling. I have a month to month agreement,
and have been here for 27 months. The sale will take place on May 15.
Today the buyer came here and told me she will be taking possession of
the condo on the 15th, which is not what was told to me by my current
landlady and owner. The current owner told me my agreement with her had me
covered until June 1, at which time the new owner could give me 30 days
to vacate, giving me until July 1 to move. Who is
right, and does the new owner have the right to tell me to leave when
she doesn't even own the place? I feel she shouldn't be communicating with
me anyway, until the 15th and she is the proper owner. The new owner says
she needs it for her sister to live in by June 1. Does that make a difference?
Please respond, as I will welcome any advice I can get!!
