Subject: First rent stabilized tenant
I recently moved into an apartment where the previous tenant was rent controlled. I am the first rent stabilized tenant. Does anyone know what my maximum rent can legally be. I understand that the Rent Guidelines Board puts out a special formula. Isn't it also determined by comparable rents in my neighborhood? Is it a combination of the two? Where would the DHCR get comparable rents?
