security deposit

Advice needed ... the apartment is in pearl river NY.

The following is in the lease

- 1 year lease after 1 year the lease becomes month to month
- need a 60 days written notice
- if the lease is broken security deposit will no be return
- security might be return after 2 weeks after the tenants moves out

I move out on 5 weeks written notice only. My LL is telling me the following :

- i didnt give him 60 days notice he has not been able to rent out
the apartment.
- i left too many magazines in the recycle can he had to take them to
the dumpster. He should get some money for that.
- i left a BBQ grill behind which he also has to take that to a
- if i dont hear from him within a week i have to give him a call, he
might be able to give some money back to me.

I moved out the due to

- once i had company over, they smelled illegal substances near apt 3
and previous tenants apt 1.
- the tenants in apt 3 ( LL's son ) screamed @ me cuz i block his
friends in, while he is parked in my space. I should have been
aware that they were going to leave soon since they didnt even come
in the house @ 11 pm @ night.

any suggestions you can give me would be helpful --- thanks
