It is the end or our one-year lease and we want out. It's 15 days before out lease runs out. I called this morning and now they say that since they didn't receive a 30 day written notice from me saying I was not renewing the lease that I was on month to month and now I have to stay an extra month. I explained that I didn't know this was required because I've never had an apartment before and no one notified me 30 days either. I already have a new apartment and don't have this rent for this one. Do I have any legal grounds?
