If he is really giving you the run-around as you claim, then where is the guilt in throwing it all in the garbage. After all, if he can't prove that the items were ever left in the apartment then he also can't prove that you threw them out. Come to think of it, if he doesn't officially live there then how could he claim ownership of anything in that residence? If the letter that you sent was returned to you (and his side has nothing in writing from you) you should give him a call and say 'I'm throwing your stuff out if you don't pick it up by this date'. Also mention that you plan to give the pets away or to the ASPCA by that date. All this, provided that you are sure about your lease situation. AUG 19, 1998.
