YOU NEED TO PUT THAT DOWN IN A CERTIFIED LETTER TO THE LANDLORD AND REQUEST A LEASE TERMINATION.

IF HE IS A HUMAN BEING HE WILL LET YOU GO WITH LOSING YOUR SECURITY. IF HE WANTS TO PLAY HARDBALL, TELL HIM THAT YOU WANT TO SUBLET IT...

YOU DON'T SAY IF THE APT IS RENT STAB, CO OP RENTAL, SUBLEASE ETC.... EACH ONE HAS DIFFERENT WAYS OUT OF LEASE...... BEST CASE IS RENT STAB WHICH CANNOT PROHIBIT YOUR SUBLETTING....

TRY TO GET OUT WITH LOSING A MONTH SECURITY.... THAT'S THE FASTEST..

GOOD LUCK
