Lnadlord shows apartment to Jane through super. Jane says I do not have good credit but my father does and he will guarantee lease. Super says: "No, we cannot do that, but your father can just sign the lease himself and certify that he is going to reside here." That is done and Jane moves in with small child. Rent is paid each month. Then management says with shock that they have learned that the apartment is not the primarwy residence of the father. No prejudice to landlord. But now he can raise the rent by 20%. Landlord starts eviction proceeding ono non-primary residence issue. Does Jane have a chance to defeat the eviction?
