I did not recommend that we vote for Vallone. I said that there were at least two other viable candidates on the ballot.
The important point is that we must PUNISH Pataki for what he did last year to us, and vote against him.
If we tenants who were so united last year cannot bring down Pataki for what he did to us, then we lose any credibility that we can influence these guys (remember the slogan on our hats at last year's Albany rally: "We are tenants, and we vote."
Whomever we elect this year as replacement for Pataki will get a chance to prove himself as a Governor. In the meantime, Pataki has shown himself as anti-tenants and an ally of Bruno, and we must do our utmost to remove him from the governorship so that he won't be able to inflict on us further damage.
