I just informed my landlord that I'll be breaking the lease and moving out
by the end of November. They really want me out because I've lived in the apt.
for 9 years and pay well below market. They agreed to let me out of my lease
if I pay my November rent. I don't trust them and worry about getting my
security deposit back. The apartment is in far better shape now than it was
when I moved in so I should get the entire deposit back. What steps can I take
now to make sure they have no claims against my deposit?
