You can argue that the lobby attendants' presence is a safety and security issue,and also a benefit to the elderly and the disdabled. Losing them to an automatic elevator is a cutback in services that is not allowed under DHCR's rules and regulations. Those tenants in your building that are rent-stabilized or rent-controlled should immediately file with DHCR for request for restoration of services and rent-reduction.
Additionally, you should get from DHCR your apartment rent history, to make sure that your rent is legitimate and over the 2,000 threshold legally.
