I have been living in my present apt for three years. Last year the management company changed ownership.
Since then, I have had alot of problems. They have held on to my rent checks and claiming
I have paid the rent late. They, also, have claimed our checks have bounced when that is
not possible b/c we have protection from our bank against bouncing checks. Now, they gave me
one week notification that they will not be renewing my lease. The lease
ends on Dec 1. (They have back dated the letter for NOv 10 but I did not receive it
until November 18th. It was hand delivered so I have no post mark to prove that.
I have made numerous attempts to contact them before and after receiving the letter
and they refuse to respond. What can I do? I dont want to move out, or have late
rent payment on my record. They are setting this up b/c they can get alot more
money for this apt. then they are charging us.
