Overnight guest clause in California contract.... Legal?

Posted by Scott on April 06, 1999 at 20:41:39:

I'm a student in central California and am about to rent an apartment with several friends. In the rental contract from the place we're planning on staying, there's a clause stating that "No overnight guests are allowed". Is this legal? Unfortunately, there's nothing mentioned in the resources on tenant.net for California pertaining to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Scott
