: I was wondering if anyone knew what the new rates for 1999 lease renewals were going to be this year?
: Also I was given my lease renewal 3 mos after my lease expired on dec 1998. They made me sign it last week retroactive to dec. Were they allowed to do that?
: I signed for a 1 year renewal and now I want to change it to a 2 year.
: Any comments would be greatly apreciated.

Try reading the back of your renewal lease: owner's section. And also RGB on Tenant.net, main page.
Too late for the lease: "they made me" is too hard to prove.

Try calling DHCR if you paid the increase during the past four months: that might be considered an overcharge.
