I looked at this apt the other day and the guy wants to move outr in May
even though his lease goes till
I looked at an apartment the other day and fell in love with it.
The current tenant's lease isn't up until the end of May, but he wants to move out
in the beginning of may. I told him I didn't have a definitive date since I didn't know when
the lease term was and he took this to mean I planned to move in earlier and help him out. I
signed a lease for the place beginning June 1. Now he is
contacting me saying he needs someone to move in for
May and if I can't maybe the landlord has
antoher apt. I can move into since HE (the current
tenant) needs someone to take over for May so he doesn't have to pay that
month's rent. Now, my point is I signed for THIS
place June 1.
Isn't the lease a legal document meaning he cannot do anything about me taking the place now beginning June 1?
