We recently moved out of a duplex that we rented for 9 years. We gave the landlord notice on Feb. 10th and we were asked to be out ASAP so they could show the place and get it rented again. We have done a lot of work to the place - yet the landlord helf part of our deposit. She charged us for paint, an electrical dryer plug (we used gas all 9 years) and charged us a prorated rent until March 10th. We did not feel this was fair because we were asked to be out soon. What are our rights?
