Can I lock out my roommate?
My roomate gave me a cheque for half of 1st months rent
the bank couldn't trace it so they gave me 2 day to have the money in the account to cover it I told my roomate that and she said she would give me the money by then, now my roomate totally avoids me by not being in the apt any of the time I'm there to get the money. I had to borrow money off my friend so that the bank wouldn't kill me?
I live in ontario and since I live and share the kit and bath with my roommate the landlord and tenant act doesn't apply so what rules do apply?
