: I need to move to the City and I'd like anyone to tell me if they think no-fee apt. finding services (usually around $200) are worth it. Is it a scam, or can you get a decent place with no fee that way?
: Thanks.

First BRING LOTS OF CASH!!!!!.....$7500 should do......be prepared to pay $1500+ rent plus One months security plus $2000 broker's fee,Plus at least a half a dozen credit checks for up to $100 EACH.....then if you finally get a place no curtains, no rugs, barely usable refridge.. plus phone cable, etc...

Be prepared to pay 30 to 50% more for FOOD....yup Fish (salmon) at $7.99-$9.99 a lb in Manhattan, take a bus to Pathmark in Queens its $4.99 or $3.99 lb on sale!!!

But the truth is...that if you have a great job that pays well..... its worth it.
