I believe that two sources for unpublished (and published) decisions are Housing Court Reporter (HCR), which is sometimes cited in housing court decisions, and Brownstone Publications' two monthly newsletters, where landlord lawyers often submit court and DHCR decisions in which they were involved.
: : Does anyone know of any place, or person who
maintains unpublished L& T decisions regarding
: : I have two recent good unpublished decisions
about rent overcharges. So, I now realized that I
am unaware of any place to send these decisions
for distribution to the rest of the tenant
: : Anybody know of such a person or place, or
should we start a decision bank.
: : lemme know, thanks.
: excellent idea: maybe TenantNet could make a
third BB for it, assign passwords to known
lawyers & advocates for safety... and publish the
good, the bad & the ugly. that might curb some
Rambo tactics from some judges in pro se cases
(or they'll just not put the decision in writing
MORE often than now)
: but refresh my memory, please: published cases
are law, unpublished aren't? cases get published
by being recommended by the judge to his/her
supervisor who then decides what gets published?
: ps: another online source of summaries of
published cases which is a free searchable
database is: QDS: http://www.nyqds.com/
: bye: my D/L is finished!!!
