Pet Deposits and Carpet

Posted by Ron on June 02, 1999 at 16:09:54:

I am currently a tenant in an apartment with a dog and a cat residing in it. These animals grew up in the apartment and have done a bit of damage to the carpet. When I move out of this apartment will I be asked to pay more then my pet deposit and security deposit for the damages? If so what is the point of having a pet deposit if it won't cover the damage the pets have done. I'm assuming they will try to charge me for new carpet. Any input/advice?
