You should read some books by MotherJones before she became
a Union organizer. Her life was filled with misery. All her children
died from disease and her husband died in a mine . Then she went
on to be a great Union organizer. Theres even a website
about her, type in the keyword Motherjones on any of the major
search engines like excite for the address.
: I WAS LIVING IN AN APARTMENT PAYING RENT ON TIME, AND MY AIR WENT OUT. IT WAS 85+. MY LANLORD STILL DID NOT FIX IT. WHEN THEY DID, IT WENT OUT AGAIN THE NEXT DAY. THEN MY HOT WATER, WHICH I ONLY HAD MAYBE ONE (1) MONTH SINCE I WAS THERE WENT OUT AGAIN. THEN ONE MORNING I GOT UP AND WENT INTO THE BATHROOM, AND THERE WAS WATER (RUNNING) FROM THE LIGHT IN MY BATHROOM. AND ON TOP OF THAT, THEY HAD BEEN ORDERING A PART FOR MY REFRIGERATOR FOR ABOUT A MONTH, SO I HAD TO KEEP ALL OF MY FOOD UPSTAIRS AT A FRIENDS HOUSE. WHEN I WENT TO THE OFFICE, THE "PROPERTY OWNER" TOLD ME "IF I DID'NT LIKE IT, GET MY THINGS AND GET OUT" AT THIS POINT I STOPPED PAYING RENT, AND WAS EVICTED. I FEEL AS THOUGH IF I PAY RENT, I SHOULD BE SUPPLIED WITH HOT WATER, A REFRIGERATOR, AND AIR/HEAT, AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY APARTMENT CATCHING ON FIRE BECAUSE OF THAT LIGHT. AFTER EVICTION, THE PROPERTY MANAGERS LAWYER INFORMED ME THAT I OWED THEM ABOUT 1,200.00 IN RENT, AND LAWYER FEES, AND I DON'T FEEL LIKE I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT BECAUSE OF THE LIVING CONDITIONS. HELP! HELP! IF ANYONE READS THIS AND KNOWS WHAT I CAN DO, PLEASE POST A MESSAGE.
