Well, my wife and I are both college students. She makes an even 6 an hour and I make an even 8 (which is pretty good for a college job)..

In addition our *new* apt is two bedroom, is MUCH larger than the old one we're having problems with, and is in a better neighbordhood and closer to campus and is only $300 a month.

The going rate for a one bedroom here is roughly $250. I guess it doesn't sound like much to you but $295 is just a little under three months of groceries at Walmart for us.
