The Loft Law isn't really DEAD, any more than the rest of the state budget! Like other sunset laws & the budget, it is in limbo right now. Most likely, whenever they pass the budget, the Loft Law will be renewed, retroactively. I wouldn't worry about some landlord refusing to renew an individual lease: he would still have to evict through the courts. Even the normal court delays should be enough time for Albany to get off its collective duff.

Apparently, the guys in Albany didn't think Mother Nature could make this into the longest, hottest summer all by herself!
