Does anyone know the law regarding dogs vs pets. I'm having an awful time
finding an apartment in the NYC area. I have a dog, 15lbs. I am currently
subletting in a building that I was told took pets. Well, it turns out that
"pets", according to this landlord, means cats NOT dogs. There are several
cats in the building and the super even has a dog.But no one else is allowed
to have a dog!Whats the law say???

Also, any theories why landlords are so opposed to dogs in this city?
Mine is that some very irresponsible people have ruined it for the rest
of us and that the majority of landlords in this city are simply evil people.
I've lived in several other cities and never encountered anything like this!
