Yes: but what does it say you're liable for if you break the lease (one month? the whole year?) and how exactly are you required to do so (30-day notice?)? These are questions that can only be answered by that lease...

Some better news: in most states, the LL must try to re-rent the apt instead of leaving it empty and expecting the old-tenant to pay the whole 12 months. Translation: after the lawsuit, you'd probably only owe one month's rent.
