Firstly,we want to stay a year but she is only willing to give us 9 months despite verbal agreement in May that the lease would be for a further year.The original lease allows for renewal of lease but must be done 90 days before the end of the present lease. As I said we informed her in May but she has only just written to us with the new "lease" giving us a 9 month lease. The original lease also states 3 months prior to the end she can show people round. She has also said she wants to place a key box on the door.Is there anyway we can get the lease for a year rather than 9 months?She does not want to rent longer due to capital gains tax.
