I received a bloomberg form b-307 (30 day notice termination for month to month
tenants) under my door yesterday, notifiying me that I have to be out by
9/30/99 or else the landlord will commence summary proceedings.
I am in a 4 unit unregulated-non stabilized building in Park Slope Brooklyn.
My lease happened to expire at the same time the building was sold.
I have not been notified by my current landlord of the sale of the building or
the names of the new owners.
I have the following questions.
Since this was placed under my door, have I legally received this notice?
What is summary proceedings?
What will happen if I am not out by the 30th?
How long realistically do I have before a judge issues an eviction notice?
What kind of legal records are generated in the event of an eviction?
Will anyone be able to find out if I am evicted? (ie: creditors, new landlords etc)?
Is there an FAQ that can walk me through this?
