I am in Michigan and working with a rental assistance program, I am wondering if it is legal (at the federal level or otherwise) for a landlord to require a tenant to pay for a credit report as a condition of the rental agreement?? Any information you can provide on this would be greatly appreciated in the form of an e-mail to voegtlij@msue.msu.edu
