I live in prospect heights, on the edge of crown heights, in a four unit building. Our apartment has four bedrooms.
Our lease ran out in May, and our landlord (eventually) informed us that the rent would be raised almost 15%. Through negotiations, he offered us the option
of a 2 year lease. we haven't signed a lease yet, and neither our landlord nor the other apartment in our building in the same situation,, seems to be all that concenterned about it.
we did decide, however, to pay the landlord the raised rent amount. are we being ridiculous?
