What can you do when the landlord moves the walls in on your apartment?

Posted by W.Saunders on November 09, 1999 at 17:59:50:

I just signed a lease, paid a deposit and brokers fee on an apartment in Manhattan
However, the apartment was atleast 50 square feet larger when it was shown
to me a week ago. No one informed me that this change would be occuring (they moved a wall in)
Now the broker and landlord are denying that any changes were made. I have no record of square footage, but do I have any rights here?
Please help me, this is not the same apartment I signed for!!!
