Really??????????????

I thought they (my landlord=big leasing company)would file a lawsuit on me,
charge me for the whole year's rent, destroy my credit......

I thought about just leaving, but when I sent them a letter about my intent
to leave, they sent me back a letter stating that "legal proceedings" would
follow. Is this just a bluff? I pay beans for rent upstate, and don't think the
cost of a P.I. and attorney would be worth the risk of trying to hunt me down and
take me to court. No damage in the apartment, rent's all paid up, utilities paid
up, too. Think they'd just let me go?

They really can't do that much?

Thanks for all your help,
Max
