Typical southern rednecks...hire an illegal handyman for a couple a six
packs..

Do not pay any rent, and demand he fix it during the day..........

but youd better have renters insurance, because he'll steal stuff when
your not there...

its the way of the south...and the landlord doesnt want to miss even ONE
day of rent....so thats why they are harassing you

: My landlord has hired an individual to make repairs on damage to
: the ceiling caused by a leak the ceiling. This involves sheetrock,
: sanding, dust everywhere. Apparently, the only time this
: particular repair person can work is in the evenings. I am a
: single parent/student with two children. The evenings are a
: horrible time for me with children to care for, studying to do,
: etc. Is it reasonable for my landlord to insist on this when there
: are craftsman she could hire to do the job during the day? The
: only reason she hired this individual is because she arranged a
: barter for other services. He is not experience doing sheetrock/
: drywall work and has made quite the mess so far. I have already
: given notice for the middle of the month. My rent, according to my
: lease cannot be prorated so the landlord has the rest of the month
: after I vacate to do have these repairs done but she is in a hurry
: to get the property in "showable" condition. Ironically, the
: damage was done months ago. It is only now that it is in her
: interes to make the repairs that she is willing to have it done.
: I'm in Mississippi. Help!
